Trans Fat-Free Non-GMO and Organic Soybean
Oil For Industrial Frying, Food Processing and Packaged Goods
Unlike
other oils that are derived from the popular solvent-based extraction
process, Nexsoy® soybean oils are “expeller-pressed” and
“physically-refined” without the use of chemical solvents
and refining caustics. The result is naturally stable,
non-hydrogenated soybean oil that can be used as an ingredient
for such things as dressings and sauces, snack foods and deep-frying applications.
Nexsoy®
achieves it’s stability from high levels of naturally occurring
antioxidants that are normally removed in the conventional solvent extraction
process. Traditionally, ‘clear’ soybean oils are unstable
and deteriorate very quickly. Hydrogenation has been the primary mechanism
to impede oxidation, but hydrogenation adds unhealthful trans fats to
the oil. In many applications, Nexsoy® may be the perfect trans fat-free
alternative to partially-hydrogenated oils. Based on research studies
linking trans fat intake to coronary heart disease, the Food and Drug
Administration (FDA) will soon be announcing guidelines for the intake
of trans fats.
